30-10-2025 : Governor extends greetings on ‘National Unity Day’.

Hon’ble Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of the nation and the state on the occasion of National Unity Day.

Paying his respectful tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, the Governor said that Sardar Patel was the true architect of the Indian Republic, who, through his visionary leadership, indomitable courage, and tireless efforts, unified hundreds of princely states, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.

The Governor stated that the idea of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” is a legacy of Sardar Patel, and his unwavering commitment to the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the nation will continue to inspire generations to come.
