    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) met all the personnel and their families of Raj Bhawan on Wednesday. The Governor personally interacted with each one of the more than 400 personnel of Raj Bhawan and their families. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) talked with each employee and every member of his family and asked about their personal and official problems. While conveying new year greetings to the entire Raj Bhawan family, the Governor wished that the new year would bring good health, peace , happiness and prosperity to all. First Lady Smt Gurmit Kaur was also present on the occasion.

    The dignity of the Raj Bhawan should be everyone’s top priority – Governor Lt. Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd)

    Addressing the Raj Bhawan family of more than 400 personnel, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that the dignity of Raj Bhawan is the topmost priority of all of us. According to the dignity, respect and prestige of Raj Bhawan, all the officers and personnel should make their behavior and perform the tasks. The glimpse, feeling and experience of Uttarakhand and Uttarakhandiyat should be seen in the Raj Bhawan. The Governor said that every Saturday would be declared as an open day to solve the problems of the officers and personnel of Raj Bhawan. On this day all the personnel will be able to share their problems directly with the Governor. The governor said that your problems are my problems. Personnel can put their official and personal problems directly before the Governor.

    Corruption-free working style, self-discipline, honesty, loyalty and human sensitivity are the Lakshman Rekha of every government employee – Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd)

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that every government employee should do his work with full devotion and sincerity. Employees should try to achieve excellence in their work. Keep learning continuously. Honesty and integrity are very important in government work. Never compromise with yourself and your soul. Corruption in ethics, values, procedures, rules and principles should not be tolerated at all. Corruption-free working style, self-discipline, honesty, integrity and human sensitivity are the Lakshman Rekha of every government employee.

    Family Welfare Center to be built in Raj Bhawan – Governor

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that soon a Family Welfare Center would be set up in Raj Bhawan in which various types of self-employment training would be imparted to the wife, daughters and women members of the families of employees and garden workers working in Raj Bhawan . Women Self Help Groups will also be formed from this Family Welfare Center. Efforts will be made to make the needy women self-employed, financially empowered and self-reliant.

    Establishment of Computer Training Center in Raj Bhawan – Governor

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that a computer training center would be opened at Raj Bhawan on New Year for the wife, children and other family members of personnel, garden workers and daily wage workers working in Raj Bhawan.

    Self defense training for girls and women in Raj Bhawan – Governor

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that a Self Defense Training Center would be set up in Raj Bhawan on New Year to impart self-defense training to women officers, workers, girls and women.

    75 fruit trees

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that 75 types of fruit plants would be planted in Raj Bhawan from the seeds developed in GB Pant Agricultural Technological University. Along with this, the Governor said that by increasing the number of cows in the Gaushala set up in Raj Bhawan, the milk obtained from them would be made available to the Raj Bhavan residential colony and the workers at cost price without any profit or loss.

    Strict adherence to covid protocol – Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd)

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that strict adherence to the COVID protocol should be ensured. Other people will also have to be motivated to follow social distancing, wearing masks and maintain cleanliness. People need to be educated and made aware. We need strong self-discipline and strong will to fight against Covid and its new variants. Indianness is our strongest weapon in fighting Corona. We can successfully face this challenge only through Indian way of life.
