    Governor Attends Program at Art of Living International Center, Bengaluru

    Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) attended a program at the Art of Living International Center, Bengaluru.

    The event was attended by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living, along with distinguished guests from India and abroad and volunteers of the organization.

    The Governor appreciated the spiritual energy and positive environment of the ashram, describing it as a “center of awakened consciousness.” He stated that the coming together of Uttarakhand, known as Devbhoomi, and Karnataka, known for its spiritual heritage, reflects the unified spiritual consciousness of India. He described the 45-year journey of the Art of Living as an inspiring movement dedicated to the upliftment of humanity, noting that the organization is spreading the message of peace, love, and harmony in more than 180 countries.

    Emphasizing service as a core principle of Indian culture, the Governor said that the Art of Living has transformed service into a mass movement. He appreciated the organization’s work in areas such as disaster relief, environmental conservation, education, rural development, and youth empowerment.

    He further stated that yoga and meditation are pathways from self-awareness to higher realization and that self-reflection is more important than ever in today’s world. Highlighting the importance of youth, he described them as the foundation of nation-building and called upon them to dedicate their knowledge, energy, and commitment to the service of the nation.
