27-08-2025 : Governor interacts with ex-servicemen, dependents and citizens during Jan Milen Programme at Raj Bhawan.

Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.) on Tuesday listened to the grievances of ex-servicemen, their dependents, and citizens from remote areas during the Jan Milen Programme held at Raj Bhawan, and assured them of prompt redressal.

A total of nine individuals from the districts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Haridwar, and Dehradun presented their concerns before the Governor. These included issues such as enhancement of disability pension, provision of employment, support for village development works, financial assistance, and other personal and community-related matters.

The Governor patiently heard all submissions and assured that every case will be resolved in accordance with the rules and within a stipulated timeframe. He directed the grievance redressal officer to immediately forward all cases to the concerned District Magistrates and authorities, ensuring timely action.

The Governor stated that the purpose of organizing Jan Milen Programmes at Raj Bhawan from time to time is to directly hear the issues of the people and take effective steps towards their resolution. He emphasized that no delay will be allowed in addressing public concerns.

On this occasion, several individuals also presented their self-authored books to the Governor.
