One-Day Special Medical Camp Organised at Lok Bhavan
Health camp provided medical consultation to officers, employees, and their family members

A one-day special medical camp was organised at Lok Bhavan on Monday under the aegis of the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University. The objective of the camp was to ensure comprehensive health check-ups, expert medical consultation, and necessary healthcare services for the officers, employees, and their family members associated with Lok Bhavan.
Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) visited the camp and reviewed the health screening process. He interacted with the doctors to learn about the examination procedures, medical facilities, and healthcare services being provided to patients. The Governor also spoke with beneficiaries to understand their experiences and appreciated the medical arrangements.
The camp featured a team of 18 specialists from Government Medical College Srinagar, Government Medical College Dehradun, and Government Medical College Haridwar, all affiliated with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University. Specialist consultations were provided in General Medicine, Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Dentistry, Orthopaedics, and Ophthalmology. Advanced diagnostic facilities, including an endoscopy machine, X-ray machine, mammography machine, and Pap smear testing, were also made available. A total of 335 patients received medical consultation during the camp.
On the occasion, the Governor said, “Awareness about health is the foundation of a good life. The well-being of the Lok Bhavan family is my priority. Only when employees and their family members remain healthy can they perform their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.” He expressed his gratitude to the doctors and medical staff for their dedicated services, stating that their expertise had greatly benefited the Lok Bhavan family.
The Governor further said that similar regular health camps, free medical consultation sessions, and health awareness programmes would continue to be organised in the future to facilitate early detection and timely treatment of diseases, ensuring that the Lok Bhavan family remains healthy and empowered.

Rawat; Principal of Government Doon Medical College Dehradun, Dr. Geeta Jain; along with paramedical staff and other specialist doctors from the medical colleges.
