On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) paid heartfelt tribute to the Veer Sahibzadas, remembering their unparalleled courage and supreme sacrifice. He offered his homage to Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh, and Mata Gujri Ji.

In his message issued on the eve of Veer Bal Diwas, the Governor said that the sacrifice, martyrdom, and indomitable bravery of the Veer Sahibzadas reflect their deep faith in religion, culture, and the nation. He stated that Veer Bal Diwas provides an opportunity to remember the extraordinary contribution, courage, and supreme sacrifice of children. The Veer Sahibzadas laid down their lives to protect the dignity of the Khalsa Panth and uphold righteousness in the face of Mughal oppression.

The Governor said that Veer Bal Diwas teaches us that even in the most difficult circumstances, one should never bow before injustice and must stand firm in defence of truth and righteousness. He emphasized that the lives and sacrifices of the Veer Sahibzadas continue to serve as an invaluable source of inspiration for the nation, especially for the younger generation, instilling values of patriotism, courage, and unwavering commitment to duty.
