Governor Lieutenant General (Retired) Shri Gurmit Singh has congratulated to the people of State, especially the people of the Sikh community, on the occasion of Guruyari festival of the second Sikh Guru Angad Dev Ji. Guru Nanak Dev ji, seeing his devotion to Guru Bhakti and devotion towards principles of shikhism , Guru Agand dev ji had entrusted with Guru Gaddi on this day.

He said that Guru Angad Dev ji became a true Sikh and a great Guru only through his creative personality and spiritual activeness. He is remembered for adopting and formalizing the Gurmukhi. He showed Sikhism the path of true devotion and liberation.
