22-09-2025 : Governor Interacts with School Delegations at Raj Bhawan.

On Monday, delegations from various schools paid a courtesy call on Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) at Raj Bhawan.

During the interaction, the Governor engaged in a meaningful dialogue with the students and teachers on social, educational, and contemporary issues. Emphasizing the crucial role of schools in nation-building, he stated that education is not merely a means of acquiring knowledge but the foundation of character formation and positive social change.

The Governor highlighted Dehradun’s reputation as an “Education City,” noting the commendable contribution of schools and educational institutions in strengthening this identity. He underscored that the true aim of education is to nurture values, self-confidence, and a spirit of service in children.

Members of the delegation also briefed the Governor on their schools’ academic activities and the challenges they face.
