Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) participated in the birthday celebration programme of Cabinet Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, organised by the Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti in Haridwar on Monday. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Cabinet Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, Shri Bharat Chaudhary and former Cabinet Minister Smt. Amrita Rawat, among other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
The Governor extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Shri Satpal Maharaj on his birthday and wished him good health, longevity, and continued energy and strength to serve society and the people.
The Governor said that through the Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti, Shri Satpal Maharaj has carried the message of Manav Dharma, self-realisation, harmony, love and service across the country and abroad. He said that Shri Satpal Maharaj’s spiritual journey has remained dedicated to the service of humanity and the upliftment of society. He further said that while shouldering various important responsibilities in public life, Shri Satpal Maharaj continues to contribute to the service of Uttarakhand.
The Governor said that the Indian philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’—the world is one family—is highly relevant to humanity today. He emphasised the need to further strengthen this spirit through Manav Dharma, harmony and equal respect for all faiths.
The Governor expressed his wish that Shri Satpal Maharaj’s journey of spiritual practice, service to humanity and public service continues to progress, and that his experience and guidance continue to inspire society and the younger generation towards service, harmony and the principle of putting the nation first.
