    Publish Date : March 21, 2026

    Jai Hind!

It is a matter of great joy, pride, and warmth for me to be present today at the felicitation ceremony of the inspiring initiative “Ek Pahaadi Aisa Bhi,” organized on the sacred land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Today’s event is a powerful effort to recognize those unsung, unseen, and unheard heroes who have transformed the struggles of their lives into stories of success.

This initiative is not merely a felicitation ceremony, but a motivating platform to identify the positive energy hidden within society and give it a new direction. I wholeheartedly congratulate Red FM for this unique आयोजन, which has provided a stage to those invaluable gems of society who, while living ordinary lives, are doing extraordinary work.

    Dear friends,

The identity of Uttarakhand lies not only in its natural beauty but also in the character of its people. As high as its mountains are, the determination of its people is even higher. As pure as its rivers are, so are the hearts of its people.

Every person from the hills carries within them a living saga of struggle, courage, and determination. Despite difficult geographical conditions, limited resources, and numerous challenges, the people here have never given up. They have turned every hardship into an opportunity—and this is the true identity of Uttarakhand.

Today, the 13 distinguished individuals from 13 districts who have been honored on this platform are not just award recipients—they are beacons of light for our society. They convey the message that becoming extraordinary does not require great resources, but great resolve.

As we talk about “Ek Pahaadi Aisa Bhi,” we are honoring individuals whose work inspires society. From Jeevan Chand Joshi of Nainital to Vijay Jardhari of Tehri and Manish Kashniyal of Pithoragarh—each of these personalities symbolizes the living spirit of Uttarakhand in every field.

Jeevan Chand Joshi has kept traditional craftsmanship alive through his exquisite woodwork. Vijay Jardhari’s “Beej Bachao Andolan” is a powerful example of preserving biodiversity. Manish Kashniyal’s ascent of Mount Everest reflects the courage and high aspirations of Uttarakhand’s youth.

These stories show that the spirit of Uttarakhand lives in every village, every valley, and every young dreamer who refuses to give up.

Initiatives like “Ek Pahaadi Aisa Bhi” bring these inspiring stories forward and infuse society with hope, enthusiasm, and confidence. When an ordinary individual does something extraordinary, they not only transform their own life but also become an inspiration for the entire society. The personalities being honored today are living examples that true success is achieved not by resources, but by determination and dedication.

In the popular program “Mann Ki Baat” by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, such stories of ordinary citizens doing extraordinary work are frequently highlighted. This program teaches us that change begins with small efforts, and when these efforts take the form of public participation, they become a mass movement that can transform the nation. Today, on the stage of “Ek Pahaadi Aisa Bhi,” we see that very spirit coming alive.

    Friends,

Uttarakhand has long been known as “Devbhoomi,” a land where spirituality, yoga, and culture blend beautifully. It is also a “Veerbhoomi,” where the youth are always ready to defend the nation’s borders. The women, farmers, and youth of this state together form the foundation of its progress. In particular, our women have played a significant role in strengthening families, society, and the economy even under adverse conditions.

This occasion also reminds us that we must stay connected to our values, culture, and roots. In this age of modernization and rapid technological advancement, it is equally important to preserve our traditions and cultural heritage. The folk culture, songs, and festivals of Uttarakhand are our identity, and preserving them is our collective responsibility.

We also face certain challenges, the most prominent being migration. Migration from hilly areas is not just a shift in population, but it also impacts our cultural and social fabric. We must work together to strengthen employment, education, and healthcare at the local level. Through tourism, agriculture, handicrafts, and self-employment, we can create opportunities for our youth within the state itself.

I would especially like to say to the youth—aim high, set ambitious goals, but stay connected to your roots. Today’s youth is the India of tomorrow, and every effort they make is a step toward nation-building.

    Friends,

The foundation of any nation’s progress lies in the thinking and determination of its citizens. We must always remember that the spirit of “Nation First” shows us the right path forward. When we rise above personal interests and prioritize national interest, only then can we build a strong and prosperous nation.

Our goal should be—“Developed Uttarakhand, Developed India.” This is not just a slogan, but a vision and a commitment that we must fulfill together. When every village and city of Uttarakhand becomes part of the mainstream of development, when every citizen becomes empowered and self-reliant, only then will we be able to contribute meaningfully to building a developed India.

It is equally important that we continue to encourage such sources of positivity and inspiration in society. When we appreciate good work, we not only honor an individual but also sow seeds of goodness in society—seeds that eventually grow into a strong and positive social fabric.

Once again, I congratulate the Red FM team for bringing forward such inspiring stories through “Ek Pahaadi Aisa Bhi.” By honoring these individuals, you are strengthening the pride, identity, and confidence of the people of Uttarakhand.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all those being honored today. Through your work, you have proven that with strong determination, no goal is impossible. You are an inspiration to this state, and your work will guide future generations.

In conclusion, I would like to say that every individual of Uttarakhand carries within them a unique ability and a special story. What is needed is to recognize it and give it the right direction. Let us all take a pledge on this occasion to contribute to the development of our state, our society, and our nation with our full potential.

Embracing the spirit of “Nation First,” and with the resolve of “Developed Uttarakhand, Developed India,” let us move forward with renewed energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering faith. This is our strength. This is our commitment. And this is our future.

With this firm belief and determination, I conclude my speech.

My heartfelt best wishes to all of you for this inspiring event.

Vande Mataram! Jai Hind! Jai Uttarakhand!
