Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) met the Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology of India Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh discussed regarding transcription of an e-highway for Devbhoomi and Lighting up the remote areas with IT Centres to make Digital India program a Grand Success.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh shared views on urgent and strategic importance of BharatNet Project Phase – II, Mobile connectivity in Border areas, OFC infrastructure for secure mode of communication, Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and innovative road map to ensure continuous growth in IT Sector and achieve optimum e-status.
