On the occasion of Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan’s visit to Uttarakhand, a cultural evening was organized at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. The programme offered a beautiful glimpse of Uttarakhand’s folk traditions, culture and art, along with the diversity of Indian culture.

Through music, dance and theatrical performances, the artists effectively showcased Uttarakhand’s cultural identity, the unity of the nation, and the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family). The performances also conveyed the message of unity in diversity that is a defining feature of Indian culture.

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), First Lady Smt. Gurmit Kaur, Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan, Director General of Police Shri Deepam Seth, Secretary to the Governor Shri Ravinath Raman, Legal Advisor Shri Kaushal Kishore Shukla, Additional Secretary Smt. Reena Joshi, and other dignitaries were present at the programme.
