On the occasion, the Governor also felicitated members of the organization for their outstanding contributions in various fields.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that under the National Education Policy (NEP), it is essential to equip young people not only with modern technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) but also with moral education and character building. He emphasized that value-based youth will play a vital role in achieving the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) and realizing India’s aspiration to become a global leader in knowledge.
The Governor said that India’s rich knowledge tradition, including the Vedas, Upanishads, and the teachings of sages and seers, provides a strong foundation for connecting the younger generation with ethical values. He added that values such as truth, honesty, integrity, and self-discipline are the pillars of a strong nation.
He further stated that moral education should not remain confined to textbooks but should be practiced in everyday life. According to him, moral values are learned not through preaching but through example. The Governor urged members of the National Soldiers’ Organization to visit schools, colleges, and universities to inspire students towards character building, patriotism, discipline, and a spirit of service. He also stressed that the experience of ex-servicemen should be utilized in educational institutions to promote leadership development and moral education.
Congratulating the National Soldiers’ Organization for organizing this visionary and nation-building event, the Governor said that the organization is doing commendable work in promoting patriotism, discipline, service, character building, and national consciousness. He expressed confidence that such initiatives would play a significant role in spreading positive values in society and enhancing awareness among youth about their national responsibilities.
