The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), met Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Shri Mayank Tiwari, at New Delhi on Thursday.

During the meeting, the Governor held detailed discussions on the education system of Sainik Schools, their contribution to nation-building, ongoing positive reforms in the field of education, and various education-related matters under the Ministry of Defence. Emphasising that quality, disciplined, and value-based education forms the foundation of a strong nation, the Governor stressed the need for continuous innovation and transformation in the education sector.
