    18-11-2021 : Governor will inaugurate the Career Counseling Festival 2021 at Didihat, Pithoragarh.

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that better career counseling facilities should be made available to the students living in the marginal and remote areas of Uttarakhand at village, block and tehsil level. In the month of December, the Governor will inaugurate two-days career counseling festival for the students of class 11th and 12th from Didihat and will interact directly with the students. On Thursday, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) took a meeting in this regard at Raj Bhawan and gave necessary instructions to the foundation and officials related to the festival. In future, career counseling festivals will be organized in every tehsil of the state. It is worth mentioning that this career counseling festival organized by Pithoragarh district administration and social organization Gorkela Foundation will be conducted by District Forest Officer, Chief Development Officer, District Education Officer, Deputy Collector of Didihat and President of Gorkela Foundation.

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that the talented people of Uttarakhand are bringing laurels to the state all over the world. Despite facing the challenges of difficult geographical and disaster-prone conditions of Uttarakhand, the natives of Uttarakhand are at the highest position in prestigious positions and every sector in the country and abroad. The Governor said that the time has come for the successful people of the state to give proper guidance and encouragement to the students living in the remote hilly areas. They should go back to their roots. He said that young IAS, IPS officers, journalists, doctors and other administrative officers should guide the needy students at tehsil and village level in remote areas for a good career.

    Gorkela Foundation President Smt Shreyasthi Manoj Gorkela, Deputy Advocate General Supreme Court Shri Manoj Gorkela and other officials of the Foundation were present in the meeting.
