18-10-2025 : Governor extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhaiya Dooj.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasions of Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj.

The Governor said that the festival of lights, Diwali, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and truth over falsehood. He wished that the divine light of the festival brings wisdom, joy, and prosperity into everyone’s life.

On the occasion of Govardhan Puja, the Governor stated that the festival reflects Lord Krishna’s compassion, environmental consciousness, and reverence for nature. He urged everyone to recognize their responsibility towards nature and contribute to its protection.

Extending greetings on Bhai Dooj, a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, the Governor said that such occasions strengthen social harmony and convey the message of unity and affection.

The Governor wished happiness, peace, health, and prosperity for all citizens, expressing hope that the brightness of these festivals brings renewed energy and positivity into everyone’s life.
