    The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), today received a courtesy call at Lok Bhavan from Dr. Surjit Singh Gandhi, Chairman of the Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority, along with members of the Authority.

    During the meeting, Dr. Gandhi briefed the Governor on the various initiatives and efforts being undertaken by the Authority to promote minority education in the state. He also informed him about measures being taken to expand educational opportunities, strengthen educational institutions, and support the overall development of students.

    Appreciating the Authority’s efforts, the Governor said that education is a vital foundation for social inclusion and empowerment. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts by all concerned institutions to strengthen a quality and accessible education system.

    The Governor expressed confidence that the Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority would continue to make a positive contribution to the field of education in the state and play a significant role in making educational opportunities more accessible to all sections of society.

    Those present on the occasion included Authority members Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Jain, Dr. Syed Ali Hameed, Prof. Prema Tenzin, Prof. Gurmit Singh, Dr. Alba Mandrele, Shri Chandra Shekhar Bhatt, Shri Rajendra Bisht, and Special Secretary Shri Parag Madhukar Dhakate.
