16-12-2025:students who returned from the Bharat Darshan Educational Tour called on the Governor
On Tuesday, students who returned from the Bharat Darshan Educational Tour called on the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), at Lok Bhavan. The educational tour was organised by the Secondary Education Department. During the interaction, the students shared their experiences and learnings from the tour with the Governor.
The students informed that along with academic exposure, the tour helped them understand the culture, cuisine and traditional attire of different states. As part of the educational visit, the students toured major scientific institutions, higher educational and technical institutes, and prominent historical sites in the states of Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana.
Addressing the students on the occasion, the Governor said that educational tours bring about positive change and boost self-confidence among students, which was clearly evident during the interaction. He noted that this journey may have provided many students with new direction and inspiration for choosing their future goals and careers.
The Governor said that experiencing India’s diversity firsthand and understanding the country’s progress, scientific outlook and innovations up close is a unique and inspiring experience. He emphasized that despite differences in language, attire and traditions, the heartbeat of the nation remains one. He also advised students to reflect and undertake self-assessment after returning from such educational tours.
Encouraging the students to dream big, the Governor said that determination, discipline and hard work are essential to achieve any goal. He stressed that success cannot be imagined without consistent effort. The Governor remarked that the students are future leaders, and the leadership qualities developing in them will inspire others as well.
The Governor advised the students to document their experiences from the educational tour and share them with their classmates and others. He encouraged them to define a clear mission and goals for their lives. Congratulating all the students on the successful completion of this inspiring educational journey, the Governor extended his best wishes for their bright future.
On the occasion, Secretary to the Governor Mr. Ravinath Raman, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati, Deputy Director Mr. Ramesh Singh Tomar, Mr. J.P. Kala, Mr. Pankaj Sharma, other officials from the Education Department, team leader teachers and students were present.
