    Foundation Stone Laid for Multi-Purpose Buildings at Lok Bhawan; Integrated Facilities to Be Available in One Premises

    Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stone for multi-purpose buildings in the Lok Bhawan premises on Thursday.

    These upcoming buildings will house a range of essential facilities. The first building will include an integrated dispensary with Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, and Allopathic treatment units. The second building will consist of an information complex and cafeteria, the third will accommodate the Public Works Department office, and the fourth will house the Horticulture Department office. All buildings will be constructed in accordance with traditional hill architecture, reflecting the region’s cultural identity.

    On this occasion, the Governor stated that the development of these new buildings will enable multiple services to be available at a single location, making administrative processes more streamlined and efficient. He added that this initiative will not only benefit employees but also ensure faster and better services for the general public. Integrated facilities will lead to savings in time and resources while enhancing overall efficiency.

    The Governor further emphasized that the project successfully integrates modern technology with the state’s cultural and traditional heritage, making it unique. He expressed confidence that these multi-purpose buildings will strengthen the spirit of public service and support effective administrative functioning.

    Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the development of this multi-purpose infrastructure at Lok Bhawan is a significant step towards strengthening governance and service delivery systems. He noted that the availability of multiple departments and facilities within a single premises will improve administrative coordination and ensure prompt and high-quality services for citizens.

    He also highlighted that constructing these buildings in line with traditional hill architecture will promote the state’s cultural identity while encouraging the use of local resources and artisans.

    On this occasion, Secretary to the Governor Shri Ravinath Raman, Legal Advisor Shri Kaushal Kishore Shukla, Deputy Secretary Shri Laxman Ram Arya, Joint Director Information Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, Executive Engineer PWD Shri Neeraj Tripathi, Assistant Engineer Shri Diwakar Dhasmana, Additional Assistant Engineer Shri Amit Semwal, along with officers and staff of Lok Bhawan, were present.
