15-08-2025 : On the occasion of Independence Day, a high tea programme was organised at Raj Bhawan.

On the occasion of Independence Day, a high tea programme was organised at Raj Bhawan. The event was attended by Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and several other distinguished guests.

During the programme, the Governor and the Chief Minister jointly released the book ‘Constitutional Leadership – Inspiring Expressions’, published by the Raj Bhawan Information Wing. The compilation includes the Governor’s addresses delivered during Assembly sessions, as well as speeches made on the State Foundation Day and Republic Day.

On this occasion, a Coffee Table Book titled ‘Ek Shaam Sainikon Ke Naam’ was also released. The publication, prepared by the Uttarakhand Sainik Punarvas Sanstha, documents and preserves the activities of two special events dedicated to the armed forces: the ‘Ek Shaam Sainikon Ke Naam’ evening held at Raj Bhawan Dehradun on 14 January 2025 to mark Armed Forces Veterans Day, and the event hosted at Raj Bhawan Nainital on 11 June 2025.

The programme was attended by former Governor of Maharashtra and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, former Chief Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Cabinet Ministers Shri Ganesh Joshi, Shri Subodh Uniyal, and Shri Satpal Maharaj, along with Members of Parliament, MLAs, other eminent dignitaries, and senior administrative officers.
