    Himachal Pradesh Foundation Day Celebrated at Lok Bhawan

    Himachal Pradesh Foundation Day was celebrated at Lok Bhawan on Wednesday. The event witnessed the presence of students from institutions in Dehradun belonging to Himachal Pradesh, along with other attendees. Students, dressed in traditional attire, presented captivating cultural performances showcasing the rich folk heritage of the state.

    Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) participated in the programme and extended his heartfelt greetings to all on the occasion of Himachal Pradesh Foundation Day. He appreciated the glorious history and vibrant cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh and highlighted that the bond between Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand goes beyond geographical proximity, reflecting deep cultural, spiritual, and natural connections.

    He stated that both states are known as “Devbhoomi,” where purity, rich traditions, faith, simple lifestyles, and respect for nature are deeply rooted and commonly reflected.

    The Governor emphasized that celebrating foundation days of different states is not merely a formal event, but a powerful medium to understand and embrace India’s diversity. Such programmes provide an opportunity to learn about each other’s language, attire, cuisine, folk arts, and traditions, thereby promoting harmony, dialogue, and cultural integration among states.

    He further stated that the vision of “Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat” plays a vital role in strengthening national unity and integrity.

    The programme was attended by Secretary to Governor Shri Ravinath Raman, Additional Secretary Smt. Reena Joshi, Vice Chairperson of Sai Institute of Technology, Dehradun, Smt. Rani Arora, Public Relations Officer Smt. Shruti Agrawal, Smt. Kamini Sharma, Ms. Archana Kandari, Asha Pal, and students.
