The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), met Major General N. Srinivasa Rao (Retd.), President of the National Soldiers’ Organisation, Telangana State, and Mrs. Anuradha Rao during a courtesy call at Uttarakhand Sadan, New Delhi, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Major General Rao briefed the Governor on the organisation’s veteran welfare initiatives in Hyderabad and across South India. He also highlighted its efforts for the welfare of war widows and mothers of martyrs, assistance to disabled veterans, and programmes aimed at raising public awareness about military life.

The meeting also included discussions on the National Soldiers’ Organisation’s future plans and programmes. The Governor appreciated the organisation’s dedicated efforts towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
