In a programme held at Lok Bhavan today, the National Song “Vande Mataram” was rendered in accordance with established protocol. The event commenced and concluded with the formal rendition of the National Song and the National Anthem.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has recently issued detailed guidelines regarding the singing and instrumental rendition of the National Song “Vande Mataram.” In compliance with these directions, the formal observance began today with a programme held at Lok Bhavan.

Henceforth, at all official functions held in the presence of the Hon’ble Governor, the rendition of the National Song “Vande Mataram” shall be ensured along with the National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana.”

As per the prescribed protocol, the full version comprising all six stanzas of “Vande Mataram,” with a total duration of 3 minutes and 10 seconds, shall be presented at official ceremonies.
