13-01-2026 : The festival of Lohri was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm and cultural enthusiasm at Lok Bhavan.

The festival of Lohri was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm and cultural enthusiasm at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday. On this occasion, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) and First Lady Smt. Gurmeet Kaur participated in the program.

The program traditionally started with the lighting of the fire. After this, attractive presentations of folk dances made the program lively, joyful and colourful.

On this occasion, the Governor extended hearty greetings to everyone on the occasion of Lohri and said that Lohri is a festival symbolizing harvest, gratitude towards nature and new beginnings. He said that this festival, along with preserving our rich cultural heritage, also gives the message of mutual love, harmony and unity in the society.

Secretary Shri Ravinath Raman, Legal Advisor Shri Kaushal Kishore Shukla along with officers and employees of Lok Bhavan were present in the program.
