The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Padma Shri awardee and internationally renowned shooter Jaspal Rana.

The Governor prayed to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family and his countless admirers to bear this irreparable loss.

He said that Jaspal Rana’s contribution to bringing glory to Uttarakhand, elevating Indian shooting to new heights, and mentoring numerous young athletes will always be remembered.
