The Governor and Chancellor, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh, has appointed Dr. Bhagwati Prasad Bhatt as the Vice-Chancellor of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar, Pauri Garhwal.

Dr. Bhatt has been appointed for a term of three years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

At present, Dr. Bhagwati Prasad Bhatt is serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
