    12-02-2022:Governor felicitated Kumar Advait Kshetri, a meritorious student who received the Young Scientist Award .

    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that the emerging scientists of the state should work for such “game changer” innovations which can change the picture and fortune of Uttarakhand through reverse migration.

    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) on Saturday felicitated Kumar Advait Kshetri, a meritorious student who received the Young Scientist Award .

    It is noteworthy that 13-year-old Kumar Advaita Kshetri, a resident of Dehradun, is a student of class VIII. He invented the air-powered motorcycle “Advaita 02” at the age of just 11. Along with this, Kumar Advait invented a mobile charger running without any power in the year 2020 and a water heating device in the year 2021 without using electricity, gas, solar energy etc.

    Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that emerging scientists like Kumar Advaita Kshetri are a priceless asset of the nation. It is proud to see that our meritorious children are doing new innovations, taking the country on the path of progress. Scientific research and inventions have an important role in the progress and prosperity of the country.

    The Governor, while interacting with Kumar Advaita, discussed various aspects of science and technology.

    Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that there is a need to develop awareness and interest in science and technology among children at the school level in Uttarakhand. Students interested in science and technology should work for such inventions and innovations so that reverse migration, women empowerment and locality in Uttarakhand are strengthened.

    Kumar Advaita Kshetri’s father Shri Adesh Kshetri and mother Smt. Amrita Kshetri were also present on this occasion.
