    09-06-2021:Governor flagged off the vehicles carrying medical equipment’s and other related material for the hilly regions of the state from the Raj Bhawan

    Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya on Wednesday flagged off the material being sent by the Red Cross Society to the hill districts from Rajbhawan. 05 Oxygen Concentrators for Pauri District, 05 Oxygen Concentrators and 05 First Aid Kits for District Rudraprayag, 05 Oxygen Concentrators and 05 First Aid Kits for Chamoli District, 05 Oxygen Concentrators, 60 Family Kits, 05 for Bageshwar District by Red Cross Society First Aid Kit, 60 Kitchen Set, 60 Woolen Blankets, 40 Tarpaulins, 40 Buckets, 07 Red Cross Tent, 20 Hygiene Kits and 20 Red Cross Apron, 10 Oxygen Concentrators for District Pithoragarh, 40 Family Kits, 10 First Aid Kits, 40 Kitchen Sets, 40 woolen blankets, 20 tarpaulins, 20 buckets, 07 red cross tents, 20 hygiene kits and 03 boxes of soap and 05 oxygen concentrators have been kept for Champawat district.
    On the other hand, under the leadership of Punjabi Sabha Dehradun, various organizations got relief and food items sent from the lotus feet of the Governor to different places. In which 100 kg flour, 50 kg rice, 70 kg pulses, 10 PPE kits, 03 packets of sanitary napkins and 1000 masks by Tejaswani Charitable Trust, 1000 masks, 1000 medicine kits and dry fruits packets by St. Joseph’s Academy Alumni Association, Rinku Pharmacy Race Course sent material of 100 galbs, 100 masks and medicine kits and 400 ORS packets by Lion Club Dehradun to different districts.
    Governor Smt. Maurya said that the manner in which various organizations are contributing to help in this era of corona infection is commendable. Thus, with the united efforts of all, the state will surely overcome this corona crisis soon.
    The Governor said that it is a commendable effort by various social organizations to deliver life-saving equipment and other items to the far-flung areas of the state to fight corona infection. With the increase in these equipment and resources, health services will also improve.
    Additional Secretary to Governor Shri Jitendra Kumar Sonkar, Assistant Army Major Mudit Sood, Vice Chairman of Red Cross Dr. Naresh Chaudhary, General Secretary Dr. MS Ansari, Secretary/State Representative Shri Subhash Chauhan, Deputy Secretary Shri Harish Chandra Sharma etc. were present on this occasion. .
