A “Family Meet Programme” was organised today at Lok Bhavan, in which Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) and First Lady Mrs Gurmit Kaur participated along with the officers, staff members, and their families of the Lok Bhawan fraternity.

On this occasion, the Governor personally listened to the personal and office-related concerns of the employees and assured prompt and effective redressal. The Governor organises such family interaction programmes every six months to take cognizance of the issues faced by Lok Bhawan personnel and to ensure their timely resolution.

Welcoming all family members, the Governor said that Lok Bhawan is not merely an administrative establishment but a family bound together by the spirit of “we.” He said that the true strength of Lok Bhawan lies in its officers, employees, and their families. Expressing gratitude, the Governor added that spouses, parents, and children are equal contributors to the success of the Lok Bhawan ecosystem.

During the programme, officers and employees who rendered exemplary service during the Hon’ble President’s successful visit to Nainital last month were felicitated with certificates of appreciation. The Governor said that the teamwork, dedication, and coordination displayed during the visit showcased the finest spirit of the Lok Bhawan family, and every member deserves commendation. Children who excelled in the ongoing Wushu and computer training at Lok Bhawan were also felicitated. The Governor highlighted that facilities such as the Girls’ Self-Defence Centre, Computer Training Centre, Yoga-Meditation Centre and Arogya Dham have been created for the welfare of employees and must be utilised to the fullest.

The Governor reiterated that honesty, transparency, timeliness, sensitivity, and good governance will remain the core values of the Lok Bhawan work culture. He emphasised that every decision and every form of communication must reflect the trust of the people, so that the dignity of Lok Bhawan is upheld at all times.

The programme was attended by Secretary to Governor Shri Ravinath Raman, Additional Secretary Smt Reena Joshi, Finance Controller Dr Tripti Srivastava, and other officers, employees, and their family members.
