    08-12-2022:Governor addressing the program organized at Tons Bridge School, Nanda Ki Chowki.

    On Tuesday, the Tons Bridge School at Nanda Ki Chowki witnessed a powerful speech by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd).

    On completion of his service from the Indian Army, the Governor spoke of his opportunity in working with General Bakshi. He further emphasized about the lessons we all can learn from General Bakshi; on staying connected with the country, our society and culture. Knowledge of our identity and heritage is vital for every citizen. Addressing the students present in the program, the Governor said that we should develop the power of leadership in order to become world leaders.

    Two books – The quantum book of SOMA” and “Russia Ukraine war: Lesson Learnt”, both written by Major General GD Bakshi (Retd) were also released on the occasion.

    The current world scenario brings to fore the importance of the book “Russia Ukraine war: Lesson Learnt.” He spoke of the comparisons between the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and Ukraine-Russia war that began in 2021 and is sadly still continuing. In addition he also praised India for its befitting reply to China-Pakistan in Galvan and Balakot.

    On the “Quantum Book of Soma”, the Governor said that Soma has been described in the ninth Mandala of Rigveda and stressed on the necessity of learning about our Vedas and Puranas. He ended with a powerful statement at the occasion that was graced by former military officers along with students and teachers and said that the day we understand our history, no one can stop India from becoming a World Guru.
