Extending his warm greetings, the Governor said that the Silver Jubilee marks 25 glorious years of Uttarakhand’s journey of pride and progress. He paid tribute to all martyrs, statehood activists, and public leaders whose sacrifice and struggle brought the state into existence.

The Governor emphasized that just as the spirit of Swadeshi empowered India’s freedom struggle, it will also strengthen the nation’s prosperity. He appealed to citizens to buy Made-in-India products that reflect the hard work and innovation of Indian youth, describing it as the core of self-reliant India and Uttarakhand.

He urged the youth to lead in technology, innovation, and start-ups to drive the state and nation toward Viksit Uttarakhand and Viksit Bharat 2047. He expressed confidence that in the coming years, Uttarakhand will emerge as the best state in the country — where development and nature, science and culture, modernity and tradition, technology and humanity coexist harmoniously.

Appreciating the grand parade, the Governor lauded Uttarakhand Police for establishing itself as a modern and disciplined force known for its professionalism and community trust. He noted the force’s effective campaign against drugs and enhanced cyber security capabilities through specially trained cyber commandos. He highlighted that community policing has strengthened public trust and cooperation, which is commendable.

The Governor stated that Uttarakhand’s 25-year journey is a story of continuous effort and progress, marked by achievements in education, healthcare, tourism, agriculture, industry, science, and environmental conservation. He said the state is evolving beyond the Char Dham Yatra to become a global wellness, wedding, film, yoga, and Ayurveda destination. He also commended the youth returning to villages and pioneering self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

Highlighting the role of women in the statehood movement, the Governor said that women have been the backbone of Uttarakhand’s development. From self-help groups to start-ups, women are scripting new stories of empowerment. Daughters of Uttarakhand are excelling in education, sports, defense, and science, bringing immense pride to the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to martyrs and statehood activists and remembered Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, under whose leadership the dream of Uttarakhand’s formation became a reality. He thanked all those who contributed to the state’s progress over the past 25 years.
