Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya extended greetings to the women of the state on the occasion of international Women’s Day. Governor said that International Women’s day is dedicated to the women empowerment and women’s rights. Women should be made economically empowered through skill development. Economically empowered women are empowered in real sense. As they can take every decision of their life. Gender equality and economical empowerment are must for women empowerment. Women have been contributing in the development of the Uttarakhand remarkably. Women of the state are very hard working and courageous. Women self help groups are doing good work in the state.
