    Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya has extended greetings on the occasion of World Environment Day.

    In her message Governor Smt. Maurya said that water crisis and air pollution is increasing on account of reinless deforestation and ignorance of environment. People understood the importance of trees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor added that youths should be connected with environmental issues. They should be motivated for plantation. As this is not the responsibility of volunteer organisations only. It is responsibility of every citizen. We should be determined to protect our rivers as water is life. Our great environmentalists like late Sunder Lal Bahuguna and Dr. Anil Joshi tried to make us aware about environmental and water conservation. Governor said that we have to learn living with following COVID guidelines. Medical waste due to COVID such as used masks, hand gloves , PPE kits must be disposed properly. Governor appealed that people should do ” Yajya” in the morning on 5th June to make environment clean.
