Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) has greeted all the people of the state on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

In his congratulatory message, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and learning, bestows wisdom, joy, happiness and good health in the lives of all the people of Uttarakhand.

While wishing education and knowledge for the daughters of Uttarakhand Governor said that on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, at the time of worshiping Maa Saraswati, decide that our daughters should get the boon of knowledge, learning, education and intelligence from Maa Saraswati. Equal opportunities of education should be provided to the Saraswati of family, the daughters. It is collective responsibility of the society.

The Governor said that Vidyadayini Maa Saraswati will infuse new energy and enthusiasm in everyone’s life. May we be inspired for welfare, humanity, and peace with the knowledge obtained from the blessings of Maa Saraswati. Basant Panchami is also a festival of new creation of nature. It is a festival of hard work, dedication and prosperity of our farmers.
