03-12-2021 : Governor has extended greetings to all the Navy officials, personnel, Navy Ex-Servicemen and their families on the occasion of Navy Day.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) has extended greetings to all the Navy officials, personnel, Navy Ex-Servicemen and their families on the occasion of Navy Day. On this occasion, the Governor has also congratulated all the people of state and country.

In his message issued on the eve of Navy Day, Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that India’s vast maritime borders are safe due to the great fighting skills, strategy and alertness of our brave Navymen. The Governor said that “I salute their valor, courage and dedication. A large amount of our energy resources, economic and business activities are conducted in the sea. Our brave Navymen are protecting the sea ” Indian Navy has important contribution in the economic development of India. Dedicated officers and jawans of the Navy are contributing in the empowerment of the country. Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) said that it is a matter of happiness that there is a large number of ex Navymen in the state. It is hoped that the ex-servicemen residing in the state will use the experiences gained during the service for the development of the state.
