01.02.2021 : Governor awarded the winners of State Level Women’s T-20 Cricket Championship

Governor Smt. Baby Rani Maurya awarded the winners of State Level Women’s T-20 Cricket Championship with Hansa Dhanai Memorial Trophy organized by Cricket Association of Uttarakhand at Tanush Cricket Academy Dehradun on Monday. Congratulating the winning team CAU Red and others players Governor Smt. Maurya said that women proved their ability in such sports which were once considered for men only. Governor said that equal opportunities should also be given to girls in every field. Sportsmanship and team spirit is more important than winning or losing the game. Governor added youth should actively participate in social work and help the people in need.
President of Cricket Association of Uttarakhand Shri Jot Singh Gunsola, Additional Secretary to Governor Shri Jitender Kumar Sonkar, Secretary of CAU Shri Mahim Verma, former MLA Heera Singh Bisht and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
