01-11-2025:The foundation day of the opposition was celebrated in various states and union territories.

Foundation Day of various States and Union Territories was celebrated at Raj Bhawan Dehradun. On this occasion, residents from these States and Union Territories living in Uttarakhand presented a series of captivating cultural performances. The States and Union Territories that celebrated their Foundation Day included Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.

Hon’ble Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) participated in the event and extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of all the States and Union Territories on their Foundation Day. He said that celebrating these Foundation Days promotes social integration and cultural exchange.

The Governor further stated that this event, inspired by the vision of “Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat”, beautifully reflects India’s rich cultural diversity and strengthens the spirit of national unity, mutual understanding, and respect.

He added that such celebrations exemplify the unity within India’s diversity and help bring everyone together as one family.

The event was attended by Secretary to the Governor Shri Ravinath Raman, Legal Advisor Shri Kaushal Kishore Shukla, Additional Secretary Smt. Reena Joshi, Deputy Secretary Shri Laxman Ram Arya, Director of Seema Dental College Dr. Anirudh Gurupratap Singh, Prof. Anuja Rohilla from SGRR University, residents and students from various States and Union Territories, and officials and staff members of Raj Bhawan.
