01-10-2025 : Governor extends greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Dussehra.

Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Vijayadashami (Dussehra).

In his message, the Governor said that Vijayadashami symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, truth over falsehood, and righteousness over unrighteousness. This auspicious festival inspires us to renounce negativity from our lives and embrace positivity, virtues, and noble ideals.

He called upon all citizens to imbibe the ideals of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in their lives and to maintain an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood, peace, and harmony in society.

The Governor further said that this festival provides an opportunity to understand the importance of unity, cooperation, and coexistence. He appealed to the people of the state to celebrate this sacred festival together in a spirit of harmony and further strengthen social unity.
