Governor Attends Valedictory Ceremony of 32nd Joint Civil-Military Training Programme in Mussoorie

Hon’ble Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) attended the valedictory ceremony of the 32nd Joint Civil-Military Training Programme at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, as the Chief Guest on Friday.
The 12-day training programme witnessed participation from 82 senior officers representing 31 different services and institutions from across the country, including 14 women officers.
Addressing the valedictory session, the Governor emphasized that stronger coordination between civil administration and the armed forces is essential to enhance national security and effectively address future challenges. He stated that unity and coordination are the nation’s greatest strengths and must be reinforced at every level.
The Governor described civil-military coordination as an impregnable shield of national power. He said that when the courage of a soldier aligns with the strategic capability of an administrator, it provides new direction to national security and development. He congratulated all officers for successfully completing the training and described the programme as highly significant and beneficial.
He further stated that in the 21st century, the relevance of civil-military coordination has increased significantly. Achieving the vision of a Developed India by 2047 requires a secure and stable nation. Strong internal and external security ensures effective implementation of development policies and enables their benefits to reach the last citizen.
The Governor noted that India is rapidly advancing towards self-reliance and promoting indigenization in the defence sector. He stated that India is evolving from a reactive nation into one that provides direction at the global level.
Encouraging the officers, the Governor urged them to make coordination, communication, and collaboration integral to their professional approach, adding that the relationships built during the training will play a crucial role in the future.
During the programme, the Governor also felicitated the best-performing participants across various activities. The event was attended by Director Sriram Taranikanti, Joint Director Shanmukh Priya Mishra, Course Coordinator D. Mahesh, and officers from various services.
